How to use Didronel

Take Didronel with 6 to 8 ounces of plain water the first thing in the morning, at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking, or taking any other medicine. Didronel works best if taken 60 minutes before eating, drinking, or taking any other medicine. Taking Didronel with orange juice, coffee, or mineral water may decrease its effectiveness.
Swallow whole. Do not break, crush, suck, or chew the tablet before swallowing.
Do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking Didronel and until after you have had your first meal or snack of the day.
Do not take Didronel at bedtime or before getting out of bed.
Calcium or iron supplements, vitamins, or antacids containing calcium, magnesium, or aluminum may interfere with the absorption of Didronel . These medicines must be taken at least 30 minutes after taking alendronate.
If you miss a dose of Didronel , take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
